Avocados have always been known as a super food because they contain healthy fats, vitamins and other nutrients for the body, as well as for beauty use. Those nutrients and vitamins are used for different beauty skin and hair treatments and below are some ways you can use avocados for beauty hacks.
Body scrub for divinely soft skin: “You can make a super-nourishing body scrub using avocado and a few other ingredients, mix the pulp of half an avocado with a tablespoon of avocado oil (or simply use olive oil), a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of honey and rub the mixture gently into your skin and it will remove the dead skin cells and moisturise and nourish the skin at the same time”.
Treat skin blemishes with avocado flesh: “The oils in avocado are very close in composition to the natural oils in your skin and they also contain anti-inflammatory ingredients that will help to reduce any redness and swelling in the skin, simply apply mashed avocado to your face and leave it on for about ten minutes and it will nourish the skin and reduce any inflammation”.
Avocado and oatmeal body scrub for gorgeous, glowing skin: “This is another wonderful body scrub that you can create using avocado, create a mixture of one mashed avocado, 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, three tablespoons of honey and 5 tablespoons of ground oatmeal and gently massage this avocado-oatmeal scrub into damp skin while in the shower and it will gently exfoliate your skin, while also providing moisture and nourishment”.
Hair mask for shinier, stronger and healthier hair: “Hair masks are probably one of best-known uses of avocado, it is great for treating dry, damaged hair and it will bring the bounce and shine to your hair in no time at all just mash up one avocado and add a teaspoon of olive oil or coconut oil to the mixture and massage it into your hair and leave it to sit for half an hour before you wash it out again, if you have dandruff, try adding some lemon juice to the mixture and that will help fight the dandruff too”.
Eye serum for brighter under eye area: “Avocado is a wonderful pick-me-up for tired eyes, it contains nourishing healthy fats and high concentrations of vitamins A and E, which are perfect for revitalising the thin and sensitive skin around your eyes so gently massage a little avocado flesh into the skin around your eyes and leave it on for a while, and the nutrients will quickly be absorbed by the skin, then wash off and enjoy soft and hydrated skin”.
