Stye is nothing dangerous, but it can be very painful and just looks plain nasty, they are mostly found on the edge of one’s eyelid and always looking like a pimple that just keeps getting bigger and bigger, a stye can cause a tremendous amount of pain and swelling and it looks like a blister, may also itch, and it can lead to an increase in tear production.
Here are some ways to get rid of stye.
Water and a pinch of soap: “As you know, there is strong soap and there are milder soap, one way to get rid of a stye is to use mild soap, such as baby shampoo, take a cotton swab and dab it in warm water before adding a pinch of soap; take your cotton swab, and gently dust your eyelids, do this each day until the stye disappears for good”.
Aloe vera: “Aloe vera is nature’s very own healer, and it can help to eliminate a pesky stye, it has both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and works to soothe inflammation, redness, and swelling, just take a leaf from the aloe vera plant, cut it open and extract its gel then, rub the gel over the affected area and; eave for around 15 minutes before washing your face with warm water, repeat three times a day”.
Mint leaf: “Crush them and apply like a poultice to your eyelids, leave for five minutes before rinsing with warm water”.
Take painkillers: “If the pain and swelling have become unbearable and is affecting your day-to-day activities, you should think about taking painkillers as they will reduce the pain and can even speed up the healing process”.

A warm tea bag: “Prepare a cup of tea as usual, remove the tea bag once it’s cooled, place it over your affected eye, leaving it there for up to ten minutes but if you have a stye on each eye, you will need to use two separate tea bags for the best results and if you’re wondering which tea is most potent, we recommend green tea”
